SUMMARY

SUMMARY

Improving and enhancing Australia's leading platform for cyber learning.

After coming onto the project in 2021, I inherited existing designs, framework and established aesthetics from a previous Pragma initiative. My goal as lead UX Designer was to diligently enhance the user experience and functionality based on changing requirements and user metrics, such as those gathered from Google Analytics.

This included significant revisions to page layouts, information architecture, the introduction of page templates and design system improvements.

I served as the lead user experience designer, where my primary responsibility was to enhance and refine existing design patterns and systems. Among my key achievements were:

  • Provided UX strategy and planning advice across multiple initiatives

  • Updated advanced functionalities, including an improved navigation system and content complexity indicators

  • Improved information architecture and mega menu designs

  • Created new and innovative page templates and layouts

  • Enhanced user notification and feedback capabilities - including reporting cyber crime

  • Mentored junior designers, providing support and guidance

Results driven and outcomes focused.

In executing these updates, I collaborated closely with the client and partnered with developers to understand user analytics, ensuring the delivery of accessible designs that adhered to WCAG standards and were responsive across all devices. I made substantial revisions to the existing design system, producing comprehensive digital and print documentation to support future development including style guide documentation.

As a result of these updates, there were marked and measured improvements on user retention, discovery and engagement across the site. Our updates allowed users to navigate the site more effectively and collect further information on user satisfaction.
